EMU 23. Mathematical competition between high school students

The singles rounds of the High School Mathematics Tournament traditionally held by Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) in two categories (singles and teams) with the financial support of Onay Fadıl Demirciler Education and Science Foundation took place on 12 April 2017. A total of 102 students participated in the 23rd annual tournament. These students were from Bekirpaşa High School, Bülent Ecevit Anadolu High School, Erenköy High School, Gazimağusa TMK, Güzelyurt TMK, Lapta Yavuzlar High School, Lefkoşa TMK, Namık Kemal High School, 19 Mayıs TMK and 20 Temmuz FL. Arda Hepgüler from Gazimağusa TMK and Erkem Yeşil from Lefkoşa TMK came joint first in the competition. Sermet Ersöz from Gazimağusa TMK was runner-up, and Ahmet Harper from Lefkoşa TMK was third.
