EMU FACULTY OF ARTS AND SCIENCES IS THE FIRST IN NATURE INDEX RANKING

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Faculty of Arts and Sciences has been ranked first in the Physical Sciences category on the island of Cyprus by Nature Index, which annually announces successes on the basis of country and academic institutions since 2015. During the period covering the period between August 1, 2018 - July 31, 2019, EMU ranked second in all fields including Cyprus in the Nature Index 2019 European University Ranking with its publications and academic achievements. EMU ranked second in the Nature Index 2019 European University Ranking, covering the period between August 1, 2018 - July 31, 2019, with its publications and academic achievements in Cyprus, including Southern Cyprus. Furthermore, EMU was listed in the top 10 and 35 academic institutions of Turkey and Europe, respectively, and qualified for receiving Nature index badge.

EMU Faculty of Arts and Sciences Dean, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Özarslan, emphasized that 5 of the 9 articles published in prestigious academic journals were made by the faculty members of the Physics Department and 4 of them by the faculty members of the Biology Department. Prof. Dr. Özarslan stated that EMU Faculty of Arts and Sciences Department of Physics achieved the highest score in the entire island and was ranked first in the faculty as a result of work quality and vision.
Nature Index does monthly and yearly success rankings by scanning articles published in 82 most respected academic journals related to medicine, health, chemistry, physical sciences, world and environmental sciences.
