Published Date: Thursday, 15 December 2016

On 13th December 2016, EMU's Department of Biological Sciences held the 3rd Molecular Biology and Genetics Career Day. The event's goal was to introduce the undergraduate students of Molecular Biology and Genetics to different career options in the field. There were a total of 8 different speakers, working at different institutions in Cyprus and in the USA.  Career topics introduced included forensic genetics, molecular diagnostics, genetic counselling, clinical embryology and different academic research and teaching options. The career day peeked a lot of interest with the attendance of about 300 Molecular Biology and Genetics undergraduate students. Molecular Biology and Genetics Career Days, sponsored by the EMU Rector's Office and the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, are held every Fall Semester, featuring different speakers.
